The London School of Economics alongside Oxford University Innovation secured a £1.5m grant from Research England to train and fund founders and staff supporting founders of Impact Ventures emerging from UK Universities.

  • Grew the University membership from 0 to 50 and user rate from 0 to 500 users in 6 months.

  • Supported dealflow, assessment and allocation of £1m ImpactU Pathfinders fund.

The result: Over 600 founders and university staff partaking in at least one online workshop.
20+ University staff attending 2-days ‘Supporting Social Ventures’ bootcamp.
26 x £40K Convertible Loan Note (CLN) investments deployed into Impact Ventures.

Case Study: KINGS - Bootstrapping an Ethical Aftershave Fragrance

I founded KINGS, an ethical aftershave fragrance brand designed to combine purpose-led branding with consumer product growth.

What I did:
Led product design, testing and launch, crowdfunding, e-commerce and retail growth, while securing SEIS assurance and building early traction around the brand.

The result:
KINGS launched through a product-based £10k crowdfunding campaign and generated around £100k in revenue before being impacted by Covid. The venture later helped spin out and support Talk Club.

Case Study: Talk Club - Building a Men’s mental fitness community

I co-founded Talk Club, a UK mental health charity helping men improve wellbeing and reduce isolation through peer-to-peer community-based talking groups.

What I did:
Co-led strategy, partnerships, funding and growth, including development of Clear Head, an award-winning alcohol-free beer launched as a revenue-generating product.

The result:
Talk Club has grown to 150+ clubs, £400k turnover, 6 full-time staff, 6 part-time staff and 150 volunteers. On average, a single Talk Club session increases a man’s mental fitness by +15%.

Customer Case Study: Supporting Thousands of Social Entrepreneurs to be ‘Contract Ready’

I supported delivery of the DCMS Contract Readiness Programme, helping voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations build the confidence, skills and readiness needed to compete for public sector contracts.

What I did:
Led and accountable for programme design and delivery including management of two deliver partners - Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) and Voice for Change England (V4CE).

The result:
The programme engaged 898 VCSE participants across England. 79% of surveyed participants reported increased confidence to bid for public sector contracts, and participating organisations reported 53 additional government contract wins linked to the programme worth over £2 million in just 6-months post-programme.
